Written Answers. - Tobacco Acreage
There is no information in the Department of Agriculture with regard to the quantity of tobacco grown in Saorstát Eireann in the years 1931 and 1932, but the Revenue Commissioners may have particulars of the area planted. I understand that about 750 acres were planted with tobacco in 1933, but I am not in a position to say how this area was distributed among the various counties. The information asked for in connection with tobacco grown in 1934 is being furnished in reply to another question asked by the Deputy.
