Applications for licences to grow tobacco are made to the Revenue Commissioners, whom I have consulted and who have informed me that it would not be practicable in the time available to compile the figures asked for in the first part of the Deputy's question.
Licences to grow tobacco in 1934 were recommended by me and granted by the Revenue Commissioners in respect of the following acreages in the respective counties:—
