Vol. 54 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Levy on Butter.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state for each of the years 1932, 1933 and 1934 (estimated) the amounts collected by means of the levy on butter from butter consumers in the Saorstát.

Dr. Ryan

Levy on butter is not collected from butter consumers. The levy on creamery butter is paid by the producers and the levy on non-creamery butter is paid by the persons who acquire such butter for resale or for use in a butter factory.

The sums collected in levy in respect of the years mentioned in the Question are:—
