Vol. 54 No. 11

Death of Deputy B. O'Connor.

Members of the Dáil are aware of the loss we have sustained in the death of Mr. Batt O'Connor. Mr. O'Connor was one of the Teachtai for the County Dublin and a member of the Dáil for many years. During all that period he was untiring in his work for his constituents and the country. In addition, he generously and nobly served Ireland during a period when devoted service meant much. I feel that we are all the poorer for the loss of Mr. O'Connor and I would ask you, Sir, to convey to Mrs. O'Connor and family the sincere sympathy of the members of this House.

Deputies rose in their places.
