Vol. 55 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rules of Unified Society.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether the rules of the Unified Society are in draft or if not what steps have been taken to prepare such rules, and whether, in view of the impracticability of consulting the members of the Society in regard to the adequacy or otherwise of such rules, he is prepared to table them in the Oireachtas before they are finally approved.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 10 (c) of the National Health Insurance Act, 1933, rules for the administration of the affairs of Cumann an Arachais Náisiúnta ar Shláinte have been made by the Provisional Committee of the Society. These rules have been approved by the Minister under the same sub-section and are at present in operation.
