Vol. 56 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Subsidy (Rate) Order for Cereals.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether a Subsidy (Rate) Order was made by him under Section 39 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1933; and, if so, whether he will state the number of inland mills to which a subsidy was paid in the last financial year and the amount of each such subsidy.

Subsidy (Rate) Orders under Section 39 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1933, are to be made by the Minister for Finance in consultation with me and not by me. In fact, no such Orders have been made, and consequently the latter portions of the Deputy's question do not arise.
