Vol. 56 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Quality of Spanish Oranges.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether in making the recent agreement with the Spanish Government arrangements were made, in view of the increasing extent to which the medical profession insists on the use of oranges in the diet of invalids and the public generally, to ensure that the quality of the oranges to be imported under the agreement will be up to the standard of those at present most generally consumed in this country.

Under the recent agreement concluded with Spain the Spanish Government undertakes that their exporters shall supply the kinds of oranges ordered by Irish importers.
