Vol. 59 No. 1

Céisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bounty Payments on Wheat.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state when the outstanding bounty payments for last year's crop of wheat may be expected by the farmers who are waiting on it to pay their rates and annuities; if he will make arrangements that, in the case of those farmers to whom the bounty on last year's marketed wheat crop is still unpaid, seizures for unpaid annuities or rates shall not be made until such bounty on last year's crop is paid.

Dr. Ryan

Bounty on wheat of the 1934 crop has been paid in every case in which a sale (home-grown wheat) certificate in respect of wheat sold in accordance with the provisions of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Acts has been received in my Department, with the exception of a small number of cases in which owing to the death of the registered grower the necessary evidence has not yet been received of the identity of the legal representative of the grower.
