Vol. 59 No. 5

Railways Bill, 1935—Committee Stage.

Bill passed through Committee without amendment and reported.

When does the Minister propose to take the remaining Stages?

I presume there will be no objection if we complete the remaining Stages now.

The Minister does not want the Bill urgently?

It must be law before 31st December.

If the Minister postpones the remaining Stages until this day week, we promise to give them to him then.

No point has been raised in connection with this Bill, and I assumed the House would have no objection if we took the remaining Stages to-day. However, we can arrange to lake them to-morrow, and if there is any objection raised to-morrow, we can then consider the question of postponement.

Report Stage ordered for Thursday, 14th November.
