Vol. 59 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Leasehold Property Grievances.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware that a strong movement exists in the Free State for the redress of grievances in connection with leasehold property, and if he will consider introducing proposals for legislation to enable such leaseholders to redeem, by purchase, such leasehold rents, or to have them reduced in accordance with an equitable standard to be fixed by law.

In reply to this question, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a question asked by Deputy Keyes on the 13th June last, which dealt generally with the subject of rents, including ground rents.
