Vol. 59 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Election of Unified Society Committee.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether steps will be taken to secure the election of the committee of management of the Unified Society prior to the adoption by the society of the new scheme of additional benefits in respect of the period commencing July, 1936.

No order has yet been made under Section 2 of the National Health Insurance Act, 1933, appointing the day on which the provisional committee of management is to relinguish office, and on which the new committee is to commence to function. Steps will be taken to constitute the new committee of management before that day but it is not yet possible to say whether they will assume office in time to deal with any question of a new scheme of additional benefits which may arise out of the valuation at the 31st December, 1933.
