Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Free Beef Vouchers.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the total sums paid in respect of vouchers issued under the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Act for supplies of free beef, and in doing so, distinguish between the amounts paid in respect of vouchers issued to persons in receipt of unemployment assistance and those issued to persons in receipt of home assistance.

The sums paid for beef supplied free under the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Acts to persons in receipt of unemployment assistance and to persons in receipt of home assistance or outdoor relief, respectively, were £304,005 2s. 0d. and £99,208 16s. 5d.
