Vol. 60 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Resigned and Dismissed R.I.C.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has completed the examination of the report presented to him by the committee that investigated claims received from men who resigned or were dismissed from the R.I.C. in pre-truce times; whether he has yet notified the applicants and, if so, how many such applicants, of the decisions in their cases and further, when it is contemplated that decisions will be communicated to all persons whose claims were investigated by the committee.

I propose at a very early date to make a statement containing information on the matters referred to by the Deputy.

Might I ask the Minister to give us an approximate idea as to when the very early date is likely to arrive?

I should say before the end of the present financial year.
