Vol. 60 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dance Hall Licences.

asked the Minister for Justice whether any complaints have been made to him in regard to the issuing of licences under the Public Dance Halls Act, 1935; and whether he is in a position to take any action which would have the effect of securing greater uniformity in the method of administering the Act.

I have received some complaints regarding the conditions attached by certain justices to public dancing licences. It is, of course, open to the applicants to appeal to the Circuit Court in such cases.

I have no power to interfere in the matter.
