Vol. 60 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Town Tenants' Grievances.

asked the Minister for Justice whether the committee to inquire into the grievances of town tenants has been appointed; and, if so, whether he will state the names and qualifications of the persons appointed to serve on the committee.

The Tribunal of Inquiry to which the Deputy refers has now been appointed. The members of the tribunal are:— His Honour W. B. Black, judge of the Circuit Court (chairman); Mr. John Herlihy, Commissioner for Valuation; Mr. Michael P. Colivet, chairman of the National Housing Board, and Mr. John E. Duff, a principal officer of the Department of Justice.

Will the Minister say if a period has been set, or a date fixed, within which the commission will be required to make their report?

No; a period has not been set. Of course, they have to fix their own procedure.
