Vol. 60 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Infants' Classes in Dublin City.

asked the Minister for Education whether he can state the total number of children on the rolls of the infants' classes in the City of Dublin and the number of classes with (1) 50 to 60 children enrolled, and (2) the number of classes with over 60 children enrolled.

On the 30th June, 1935, there were 15,500 children enrolled in infants' classes in national schools in the City of Dublin.

In regard to the second portion of the question, I assume that the Deputy wishes to know the numbers of infants' classes under a single teacher with (1) 50 to 60 children on rolls, (2) 60 or over on rolls. The numbers are 69 and 109, respectively.
