Vol. 60 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pensions for ex-Members of the Connaught Rangers.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state when it is proposed to introduce proposals for legislation to provide pensions or gratuities for ex-members of the Connaught Rangers who took part in the mutiny in India in 1920.

Proposals for providing pensions and gratuities for ex-members of the Connaught Rangers who took part in the mutiny in India in 1920 have been embodied in a Bill which it is hoped will be introduced in An Dáil during the present session.

Can the Minister give any idea when the Bill will be introduced?

I think in a few weeks' time.
