Vol. 60 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meat Exports.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the total number and value of (1) mutton and lamb carcases, (2) mutton and lamb sides, and the total value of other dressed mutton and lamb exported from the Irish Free State to Great Britain and Northern Ireland during the 12 months ended the 31st December, 1935.

Dr. Ryan

The Official Export List does not require exports of mutton and lamb to be separately described as "carcases" and "sides."

The total exports of fresh mutton and fresh lamb from Saorstát Eireann to Great Britain and Northern Ireland during the 12 months ended 31st December, 1935, amounted to 24 cwt. value £80, and to 52,323 cwt. value £156,205 respectively.
