Vol. 60 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Collection of Cork Land Annuities.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is now in a position to state the amount of money collected in respect of land annuities in County Cork (a) by the special mobile forces, and (b) through the ordinary channels during the period 1st January, 1935, to January, 1936.

The payments made by tenant purchasers in County Cork in respect of land purchase annuities in the 12 months commencing 1st January, 1935, amounted to £212,730 0s. 0d.

The accounts of the Land Commission are not kept in a manner to enable the other particulars asked for in the Deputy's question to be given.

Arising out of the reply, are there not special schedules made out in the Land Commission for arrears? I challenge the Parliamentary Secretary to deny it. From these schedules he could supply the Deputy with the information if he wanted to supply it.

That is totally wrong.
