Vol. 60 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Remuneration of Registrars.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is in a position to announce what alterations he expects to make in the rates of remuneration paid to dispensary medical officers and other assistant registrars of births, deaths, and marriages, as anticipated in the hope he expressed to this House on 11th April, 1935.

The Parliamentary Draftsman is engaged on the preparation of a Bill to deal with the matter.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary say when this Bill is likely to be available to Deputies?

I could not give any indication as to when the Bill will be available. It depends on the pressure and urgency of business in the Parliamentary Draftsman's office.
