Vol. 61 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Labourers' Cottages in County Carlow.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he has received any report from the divisional housing inspector on the subject of the erection of labourers' cottages by the Carlow Board of Health and Public Assistance; whether he will state the nature of any recent report received, and what action he proposes to take to accelerate the erection of labourers' cottages in the County Carlow.

The reply to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The inspector reports that the construction work generally is sound, but that progress is slow. I have communicated the terms of the report to the board of health and have made suggestions with a view to accelerating the rate of completion.
