I have been informed by the board of works that a site for a new Gárda Síochána barrack at Kilcock has not yet been secured and that the search for a suitable site is being continued.
Does the Minister know that that search has now been in progress for about 12 months, and can he give any indication when it is likely to conclude?

I understand the position is that several sites were examined; that some were found unsuitable, and others were too dear, and that they are continuing to look for a suitable site at a reasonable price.
