Vol. 61 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clare Workers' Insurance Stamps.

Mr. Hogan

(Clare) asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is yet in a position to take action in respect of the unemployment insurance stamps of workers employed on the Fergus drainage scheme as requested by me on 21st November, 1934.

The examination of the questions raised in the applications on this matter is proceeding, but I regret that I am not yet in a position to give my decision; I anticipate, however, that there will be little further delay.

Mr. Hogan

Might I ask the Minister if it is necessary to spend three years in an examination of this matter?

No, not 15 per cent. of that period.

Mr. Hogan

Is the Minister aware that this matter is really under examination for over two years?
