asked the Minister for Justice if he will state how many prosecutions under Section 18 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act have taken place since this Act came into force on the 28th February, 1935; how many males and females were involved; where did the offences in question take place; further, to ask if the special attention of the Gárda has been directed to the new extended powers conferred by the above section in relation to various kinds of public indecency, and if this has not been done will he take the earliest opportunity of seeing that it will be done.

The attention of the Gárda Síochána has been specially directed to the provisions of Section 18 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1935. The particulars as to prosecutions asked for by the Deputy will appear as a tabular statement in the Official Report.
