Vol. 64 No. 1

Death of Deputy J.M. Burke.

Members of the Dáil will have learned with regret of the death during the Recess of Deputy J. M. Burke. In the comparatively short period of his membership of the House Deputy Burke made many friends amongst all parties. A distinguished legal scholar, he expressed his views in debate with moderation and detachment. His courtesy and good humour were at all times unfailing. I ask you, A Chinn Comhairle, to convey to Deputy Burke's widow and relatives the sincere sympathy of Dáil Eireann.

Deputies rose in their places.
