Vol. 65 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pensions for Nurses.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if it is his intention during the life of the present Dáil to introduce a Bill to give legislative effect to a scheme for pensions for nurses and midwives on the lines of the Bill initiated in the Seanad in 1935, and, if so, if he will state when the Bill will be introduced.

The answer is in the negative. I would refer the Deputy to pp. 64-66 of the Hospitals Commission First General Report.
