Vol. 65 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Slieveardagh Coalfields.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has received any report from the engineers who are investigating the Slieveardagh coalfields, County Tipperary; and, if so, what is the nature of the report, and if he is in a position to state if the operation of those coalfields will be extended on a larger basis in the near future.

The engineers' report on the exploration work at Slieveardagh has not yet been received. I cannot make any statement with regard to the future development of the coalfield until the report has been received and considered.

Can the Minister give any idea when the report is likely to be received?

Next month.
