Vol. 66 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Kildare Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the McKeever estate at Cornamucklagh, Broadford, County Kildare, comprising approximately 150 acres, for division.

Mr. Boland

The Deputy's question appears to refer to the estate of Samuel McKeever, Record No. U6672, County Kildare, lands of Cornamulklagh, 193a. 3r. 32p. The Land Commission have had an inspection as to suitability and price made of the lands in this matter, and the question of their acquisition is at present under consideration.

Will the Minister say whether this matter will be dealt with as expeditiously as the subject matter of question 9?

Mr. Boland

I cannot say how expeditiously this matter will be dealt with, but I can assure the Deputy it will be dealt with as expeditiously as possible.
