Pigs and Bacon Bill, 1937—First Stage.

Leave given to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to amend the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1935, to provide for the imposition of levies on pigs and carcases of pigs purchased by bacon producers, and to provide for other matters connected with the matters aforesaid.—(Minister for Defence).

When will we have that Bill?

In a day or two.

Is it urgent?

It is urgent. The Minister for Agriculture wants to get it through as quickly as possible.

Second Stage fixed for Tuesday, the 11th of May.
