Vol. 66 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Building of Cottages in Caherciveen.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state what is the cause of the delay in proceeding with the erection of labourers' cottages in Caherciveen, County Kerry, and whether, in view of the urgent need for houses for the workers in that district, he will urge the board of health to expedite the matter.

On the 20th ultimo I informed the Kerry Board of Health and Public Assistance that until adequate measures are taken to collect outstanding arrears of rents of existing cottages, I am unable to grant approval to further borrowing for the provision of additional cottages.
