Vol. 67 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Tipperary Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if the scheme for the division of the estate of Miss Grace, near Cashel, County Tipperary, will be put into operation without further delay, and, if not, if he will state the reasons for holding up a scheme which upwards of two years ago, it was stated, was ready for division.

Proceedings were instituted in 1934 for the acquisition of the untenanted lands on the Grace estate. This is one of a number of estates acquisition of which has been affected by, amongst other things, certain legal decisions interpretative of the land law prior to the passing of the Act of 1936. Since the date of the passing of that Act fresh proceedings have been instituted in this case and objections to acquisition were disallowed last month. A division scheme will be put into operation as soon as practicable.
