Vol. 67 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of County Mayo Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that Mr. Thomas Higgins, Lismurrane, Callow, Foxford, County Mayo, has offered his lands, on certain conditions, to the Land Commission for the relief of congestion, and if he is in a position to state if the offer is likely to be accepted, as there is considerable congestion in the district.

Mr. Boland

The question of acquiring by exchange the holding of Thomas and Michael Higgins in the townland of Lismoran on the C.D.B. (McGloin) Estate is under consideration by the Land Commission, but it is not possible at present to anticipate a decision.
