Vol. 67 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of County Clare Lands.

Mr. Hogan

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when it is proposed to acquire and distribute the Howard farm at Drumcliffe, Ennis.

Mr. Boland

I have nothing to add at present to the reply given to the Deputy's previous question in regard to this matter on the 31st March last. At the present stage of the proceedings it is not possible to state whether or when the lands may be resumed and distributed.

Mr. Hogan

So nothing has happened for the past three months?

Mr. Boland

Not about this matter, at any rate.

Mr. Hogan

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when it is proposed to acquire and distribute the Studdart farm at Killballyowen, Cross, County Clare.

Mr. Boland

The Land Commission have already had under consideration the question of acquiring the lands of Killballyowen and Oughterard on the Studdart estate, and in view of the circumstances of this case, they decided to take no action in the matter for the present.
