Vol. 67 No. 9

Written Answer.

Mr. Brodrick

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission propose to acquire the Smyth estate, Colemanstown, County Galway, for distribution among uneconomic holders, and, if so, when a division scheme will be put into operation.

Mr. Boland

The Land Commission are awaiting the result of an inspection which they have already instituted to ascertain the suitability for their purposes of the lands of Colemanstown, on the estate of J.H. Smyth, and the question of acquisition will be duly considered, but it is not possible at present to anticipate a decision.
