Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment Assistance in County Clare.

Mr. Hogan

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (1) the number of (a) men, (b) women drawing unemployment assistance at the employment exchanges at Ennis, Tulla, Ennistymon, Kilrush and Gort on the latest date for which figures are available, giving each exchange separately; (2) the number of (a) men, (b) women drawing unemployment insurance at these exchanges on the same date, and (3) the number of claims (a) men, (b) women in whose cases decisions had not been reached on that date.

A return will be circulated with the Official Report showing the numbers of men and women paid unemployment assistance and unemployment benefit in the week preceding 31st May 1937, at the specified employment exchanges. Statistics of the number of claims in whose cases decision had not been reached are not available.
