Vol. 68 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Disability Pension Claim.

Mr. Hogan (for Mr. Norton)

asked the Minister for Defence whether he has received an application for a disability pension under the Army Pensions Act, 1932, from Mr. Robert Walsh, Kildare Road, Monasterevan; whether the application has been considered; and, if so, when a decision will be conveyed to Mr. Walsh.

An application for a disability pension under the Army Pensions Act, 1932, has been received from Mr. Robert Walsh, Kildare Road, Monasterevan, but owing to the fact that Mr. Walsh amended his application after the expiration of the time limit for application under the Act, it was not possible to deal with it under the Act of 1932. In view, however, of the enactment of the Army Pensions Act, 1937, extending the time limit for application, it will now be possible to deal with Mr. Walsh's amended application, and a decision will be conveyed to him at the earliest possible date.
