Vol. 68 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Mayo Right-of-Way.

asked the Minister for Finance whether it has been brought to the attention of the Board of Works that the right-of-way at Corrotigue, County Mayo, for the conveyance of seaweed from the shore is in a bad state of repair and practically impassable, and, whether in view of the extent to which seaweed is required as manure in the district, money will be made available in the form of a relief grant for the making of an accommodation road for the benefit of the farming community and incidentally to relieve the considerable unemployment in the district.

There is no record of the receipt of this proposal in the Office of Public Works, but if particulars to enable the work to be identified are supplied, the road will be inspected for consideration under minor employment schemes.
