Vol. 68 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Co. Tipperary Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what is the present position regarding the acquisition of the land lately held by Mrs. Power Lawler at Longorchard, Templetuohy, Templemore, County Tipperary; what is the cause of the long delay in dealing with the acquisition proceedings; if there is objection to acquisition on the part of any of the purchasers and, if so, why such objections have not been listed for hearing and the matter decided so that, if possible, division of the land might proceed.

Mr. Boland

The Land Commission have instituted separate proceedings for the acquisition of 12 plots sold to purchasers by Mrs. Stella Power Lawler in the townland of Longorchard. The statutory notices were published on 8th June, 1937, and the owners will be at liberty, if they so desire, to object to the acquisition of their plots within one month from the date of service of the notices. There has been no avoidable delay in dealing with these proceedings.
