Vol. 69 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Comments on Louth Prosecution.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether his attention has been drawn to comments in certain newspapers upon a case of misconduct in public at Blackrock, Dundalk, recently heard in the Dundalk District Court; and whether in the circumstances he will cause a full statement of the charges in this case and of the misconduct upon which these charges were based, to be issued to the Press by the Information Bureau; and, if not, if he will state what steps he proposes to take to prevent public misrepresentation of the facts of the case.

The papers in the case have been referred to the Attorney-General. In these circumstances, it would not be right for me to say any more at this stage.
