Written Answers. - Kildare Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he has received an application from Mr. John Commons, Ticknevin, Carbury, County Kildare, for registration of the transfer of one acre of land to him from the Peat Fuel Company at Ticknevin (Estate of Irish Land Commission (Derriman) Record No. S.2733), and if he will state when consent to the proposed sub-division will be conveyed to Mr. Commons.

An application for permission to sub-divide the holding of the Peat Fuel Co., at Ticknevin, by the transfer of an area of 1a. 2r. 19p. to Mr. John Commons, of Ticknevin, Carbury, County Kildare, was received from the solicitors acting for the tenants of the holding, and on the 12th ultimo the consent of the Land Commission to the proposed sub-division was conveyed to them.

The question of the notation of Mr. Commons as tenant of the plot in question will be dealt with as expeditiously as possible on receipt of the deed of assignment thereof by the Land Commission, and when the conditions subject to which consent to sub-division was given have been complied with.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire and divide the estate of Mr. T. Yeates at Narraghmore, County Kildare.

The Land Commission have directed that a report as to suitability and price be furnished on the lands of Lipstown and Lipstown Lower on the estate of Thomas J. Yates.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire and divide the estate of Mr. J. Deegan, Lipstown, Narraghmore, County Kildare.

The Land Commission had under consideration the question of the acquisition of the lands of Lipstown Lower containing 145 acres and decided, before taking further action, to have a report on other lands at Hallahoise, the property of the same owner. When the report on lands of Hallahoise has been furnished the question of acquisition will be considered.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the estate of Mr. Thomas W. Greene at Hallahoise, Castledermot, comprising close on 400 acres, for division amongst local uneconomic holders and landless men.

The Land Commission have decided to take no action for the present in regard to acquiring the lands of Hallahoise containing 376 acres, the property of Mr. Thomas W. Greene. As the lands were vested in the owner under the Land Act, 1923, in July, 1932, the matter of acquisition thereof is governed by the provisions of Section 38 of the Land Act, 1936.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the estate of Mr. Thomas W. Greene, Beaconstown and Millbrook, Castledermot, comprising over 300 acres, for division.

The Land Commission have directed that inquiries be made regarding the lands of Beaconstown, containing 544 acres, and Kilkea Lodge farm, containing 171 acres, the property of Mr. Thomas W. Greene, "Mill-brook," appears to be a local name for Beaconstown.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the lands of Mr. Michael Dobbyn, Belan, Moone, County Kildare (formerly part of Best estate, Folio No. 334), for division.

The Land Commission have directed that inquiries be made regarding the lands of Belan, containing 156 acres, on the estate of Michael Dobbyn.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the lands of Mr. George Cope at Graneymill and Aylmerstown, Castledermot, for division.

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of the untenanted lands of Aylmerstown, Ballynacarrick Lower, and Graney West, on the Cope estate.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the lands of Mr. Patrick Higgins (Fraser estate) at Lughill, Monasterevan, for division; and, if so, when the lands are likely to be acquired and divided.

A notice of proposal to apply to the Appeal Tribunal for leave to resume the holding of Patrick Higgins, containing 94a. 3r. 8p., in the townland of Lughill for the purpose of relieving congestion has been published by the Land Commission. It is not possible at the present stage of the proceedings to state when, in the event of Appeal Tribunal making an Order authorising resumption, the lands in question are likely to be acquired and divided.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the estate of Mr. More O'Ferrall, Cadamstown, Moyvalley, County Kildare, for division.

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of the untenanted lands of Cadamstown, on the More O'Ferrall estate.
