asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what steps, if any, have been taken in regard to reclamation work on the Guinness-Mahon estate, Tramore, and if it is intended to allocate any moneys from the Land Commission Improvement Vote or the Employment Scheme Vote for this purpose.

The Land Commission have at present under investigation the case of certain holdings in the townlands of Intake Back Strand, Lisselan Intake, Tramore Burrow and Crobally Upper, which have been affected by encroachment of the sea. Portion of the lands concerned were formerly part of the estate of H.R. Guinness, and may be the lands to which the Deputy refers. The Land Commission are not at present in a position to state what action they may take in the matter.
