Vol. 70 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of River Robe Tributary.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the cause of the delay by the Commissioners of Public Works in having the drainage of the tributary of the River Robe from Carrowkeel Lake through Carrowkeel, Caher, Derrymore and Purranes proceeded with.

Unforeseen difficulties have arisen in connection with the carrying out of works on the Carrowkeel tributary of the River Robe. Exhaustive investigations are being made by the Commissioners of Public Works, and until these are completed a decision cannot be reached as to whether or not it will be feasible to execute drainage works on this section of the district.
