Written Answers. - Local Authorities—Annual Loan Charges.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the amounts paid under the Housing Act, 1932, as amended, by way of contribution towards the annual loan charges incurred by local authorities in respect of money borrowed by them for the purpose of the housing of the Working Classes Acts, distinguishing between (a) contributions made in respect of accommodation provided for persons displaced by any other operations of such local authorities, and (b) the contribution made under these Acts in other cases; and, further, the amount paid in respect of the contribution to annual loan charges incurred by local authorities in respect of money borrowed under the Labourers Acts.

The amounts paid to 17th ultimo are as follows:—

(a) £266,615; (b) £103,009; Labourers Acts, £198,407.
