asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the total amount of arrears of Land Commission annuities for the two gales of 1937 outstanding on the 31st January last under each of the Land Acts from 1881 to 1923, inclusive.

The accounts of the Land Commission are not kept in a manner to enable the required particulars to be readily given in the form specified by the Deputy, but a statement will be circulated in the Official Report showing the total arrears of revised land purchase annuities under each of the Land Acts outstanding on the 31st July, 1937, in respect of the May-June, 1937, gale; and on the 31st January, 1938, in respect of the November-December, 1937, gale.
