Vol. 71 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Roads in Cavan and Monaghan.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state what is the cost of the upkeep of the roads of the Counties Cavan and Monaghan, and how much is collected in each county from (a) motor tax, and (b) drivers' licences.

I would refer the Deputy to pages 398, 399 and 381 of the Department's Report for the year ended the 31st March, 1937. The motor tax accounts do not show separately the receipts from drivers' licences. The information for the financial year ended 31st March, 1938, is not yet fully compiled.
