Vol. 71 No. 3

The Adjournment.

On the adjournment, Sir, has it been settled what time you are to meet on Wednesday next? I understood the Government were agreeable to meet at a later hour than the usual hour on account of the Spring Show.

We had originally intended to meet on Tuesday next week but we later put it off to Wednesday. I am afraid that we cannot unduly contract our meeting time on Wednesday.

I understand that the subsequent business of these three Agreements cannot be got through before the 15th of May; so that no matter how quickly we work here it cannot be got through before then. Is not that so?

If the Government will let us know what accommodation they want we will meet them.

Very well. I do not want, at any rate, to be responsible for any avoidable delay there may be.

Quite right.

The House adjourned at 5.45, until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 4th May.
