Vol. 71 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Land Division—Co. Tipperary.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire or resume the lands of Cappamurragh, County Tipperary, in the ownership of Mr. Francis Greene; and, if so, whether he can give an approximate date on which the lands are likely to be available for division.

The lands of Cappamurragh in question appear to form part of a holding of Francis Greene on the estate of J.W. Greene and another, County Tipperary, Record No. S.5267. The Land Commission have decided to institute proceedings for the resumption of 75 acres of these lands and also of an entire holding of this tenant on the same estate. The tenant has not consented to resumption and it is not possible at this stage to state when the lands, if resumed, will be divided.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he will state the present position of the proceedings for the acquisition of the lands on the Sanders Estate at Ballinacourtie, Lisvernane, County Tipperary; and whether it is likely that the lands will be available for distribution and the starting of State forestry operations at an early date.

Mr. Boland

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of the untenanted lands on the Sanders estate, Record No. S.8824. The owner has objected to their acquisition and his objection is pending for hearing before the Land Commission. At the present stage of the proceedings it is not possible to state if and when the lands will be available for division.
