Vol. 71 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Annuities Under Ashbourne Act.

andMr. Wall asked the Minister for Lands if, when land annuity payments under the Ashbourne Act cease to be payable, it is intended to collect from holders of land an amount equivalent to these payments.

When the advances made to tenant purchasers under the Land Purchase Acts are amortised in due course by the accumulation of sinking fund included in the half-yearly instalments of land purchase annuities, such annuities will cease to be payable by the tenant purchasers. In some instances this process has been actually accomplished.
