It is assumed that the question has reference to whole-time non-industrial employees. On this assumption, the information relative to these employees is given in the form of a tabular statement which will be circulated in the Official Report. The statement shows the position as on the 1st January, 1938, this being the latest date for which returns of Civil Service staffs were compiled.
