Vol. 73 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Army Medical Service.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the procedure followed in filling vacancies for doctors in the Army medical service; and if he will state what steps by way of advertisement, or otherwise, have been taken during the last five years to bring under the notice of young doctors vacancies in that service, so that they might have an opportunity of securing such vacancies.

In accordance with the usual procedure I have recommended candidates for appointment to commissioned rank in the Army medical service and the appointments have been made by the Executive Council or on the advice of the Government. Vacancies have not been advertised.
